Each day, we have the privilege of seeing children grow from newborn babies to running school agers in the Children’s Center. We welcome participants to Adult Day and Mind Effects who fill our day center with laughter and camaraderie. We witness clients coming to Short-term Rehab to work hard with dedicated therapists and nurses to get strong to get back home. We care for seniors whose families have trusted us to care for their loved ones in our residential care areas of Elaine’s Hope Memory Care Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing.

    2022 LSS Caregiver Hero Award



    We are so thankful that the Lutheran Social Services presented its Inaugural Caregiver Hero Award to The Lutheran Home

    On November 3, 2022, Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) presented its first LSS Caregiver Hero Award during a special 140th anniversary event in downtown Milwaukee. Martin J. Schreiber (Marty), former Wisconsin Governor, previously received a Lifetime Caregiver Hero Award from LSS in 2019. The Lutheran Home received the 2022 LSS Caregiver Hero Award, in honor of Marty Schreiber, for its dedication to serving older adults and enriching the lives of others through compassion, commitment, collaboration, and loving care.
